Lieutenant Ed
Bailey
Lieutenant Ed Bailey has
been employed by the
Jones County Sheriff’s
Office since January 1,
1995. Lt. Bailey began
his career with the
sheriff’s office in the
uniform patrol division,
working his way up to a
shift supervisor for
uniform patrol before
being promoted to the
head of the warrant
division in 2005.
The Warrant Division
handles all criminal
warrants and service of
civil subpoenas,
garnishments and all
other civil process
paperwork. The warrant
division also handles
all courtroom security
and transporting of
inmates for court
appearances.
The Jones County
Sheriff’s Office is also
part of the Southeast
Regional Fugitive Task
Force headed up by the
United States Marshals
Service. Investigator
Robert Reece is assigned
to the task force. The
Southeast Regional
Fugitive Task Force
assists in serving high
risk and high felony
warrants.
